# Updates

#### Linux

It is recommended for the system package manager to perform regular updates to ensure the agent package is updated. Outbound access to SIFF is required as covered in [System Requirements](https://docs.siff.io/install/system-requirements#network-access-and-ports_1) (see *SIFF auto-updates*)

If this is not permitted then follow the [Installation](https://docs.siff.io/install/agent#linux) instructions to fetch the latest version and update manually.

#### Windows
